Today I am grateful for good news . . .

My 13-year-old has been having some medical issues and has been undergoing test after test to try to figure out what's going on.  Last week she saw an endocrinologist because she's suddenly below the 3rd percentile for her height.  Turns out her human growth hormone level is normal and her "bone age" is just slightly younger than her chronological age.  No treatment is necessary; she's just going to be short!  The doctor predicts that she'll be about 4'11" when she is fully grown, so I guess she should just get used to the short jokes!
